Vintage Japanese lusterware* tea set consisting of a tea pot with lid, cream pitcher, lidded sugar bowl and four cups with saucers. It is decorated with an unusual pattern including Mt. Fuji, bamboo and stylized flower blossoms.
Made in Japan, probably in the 1950′s the set is in good condition excepting a few flea bite chips on the spout of the tea pot.
It glows so lovely in the sun and makes one wish to have a tea party, even if one has to play the role of the mad hatter.
$65

*Emphasis could be placed on the element of lust, the desire for the bright and shiny.
