A fine vintage “genre” painting in frame. It is signed (illegibly of course) and is in great condition. It is an evocative little piece measuring 16 1/2 by 14 1/4 inches and reminds me of that spring in Paris.
It might have something to do with the prominence of the Pont Neuf which although named “New Bridge” is actually the oldest standing bridge across the Seine. This is proof of nothing except perhaps the irony of time.
